The RaDAR Project (Strategies for Catching Up on HIV Screening Among Children and Adolescents in Côte d’Ivoire and Togo: The Role of Community-Based Organizations).The main objective of RaDAR is to evaluate the implementation—in terms of feasibility, acceptability, and efficiency—of a community-based association intervention aimed at addressing missed opportunities for pediatric HIV testing (ages 0–15) and referring cases to HIV care in Côte d’Ivoire and Togo.
Thus, as part of the official launch of the RaDAR project’s activities, the PAC-CI PROGRAM conducted a field visit from July 17 to 21 at the SAS Center, located in Côte d’Ivoire, specifically in Bouaké. This visit made it possible to:
Training the team on data collection tools (CRF and data collection procedures)
Provision of tablets for data collection
To date, the RaDAR project has enrolled 34 children, 14 of whom are eligible for screening and 14 of whom have been included with informed consent. These preliminary figures are encouraging and demonstrate the team’s commitment and determination to achieve the expected objectives.
