Training on Antibiotic Therapy and Presentation of the Antibioclic Africa Tool

ANTIBIOCLIC Afrique is a clinical decision-making tool for the management of COVID-19 in West Africa. It is intended for use in five countries: Côte d’Ivoire, Burkina Faso, Gabon, Mali, and Senegal. The tool’s objective is to help clinicians tailor patient care based on clinical signs, using local guidelines specific to each country. In the long term, ANTIBIOCLIC Africa also aims to optimize antibiotic prescribing and help combat antibiotic resistance in West Africa, which is a major global health challenge.

Thus, on Saturday, November 26, 2022, a meeting was held at the National Institute for the Training of Health Workers (INFAS), a meeting with residents from hospitals in Côte d’Ivoire as part of the ANTIBIOCLIC-AFRIQUE project’s activities to disseminate the Antibioclic Afrique tool.

The meeting began with training on antibiotic therapy, followed by a presentation of the Antibioclic Afrique tool: Antibioclic Afrique: Rational Antibiotic Therapy in Primary Care (antibioclic-afrique.com).
