The Chair of the Strategic Steering Committee (CPS) of PAC-CI/PRISME-CI, Mrs. Thérèse N’dri-Yoman, and Dr. Raoul Moh, Executive Director of PAC-CI/PRISME-CI, attended the annual meeting of the partners of the international network of ANRS-MIE. The event took place at the headquarters of ANRS-MIE in Paris on June 27 and 28, 2024.
This was an opportunity for participants from 11 partner countries (Côte d'Ivoire, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Mali, Guinea, DRC, Zambia, Cambodia, Vietnam, Brazil, Senegal) to review the 2023 report and the prospects for 2024. The Côte d'Ivoire site is proud to have presented one of the most productive reports of 2023 with:
38 ongoing research projects
30 trainings provided (5 Master-2 defended, 1 public health thesis defense, 18 ongoing science doctorates, etc.)

In terms of prospects for 2024, the priority research areas of the PAC-CI Program will focus on:
Strategies for managing PLHIV (long-acting drugs, aging, primary and secondary prevention of cardiovascular diseases)
Maternal and child health (strategies to reduce maternal and child mortality in decentralized Ivorian settings)
Air pollution and its impact on children's respiratory health
The program was also enriched by a debate on the "decolonization of research".
The participants left very satisfied with this 2nd meeting. A date was set for June 2025 for the next network meeting. In the meantime, the Côte d'Ivoire site will organize its next scientific days at the end of the first quarter of 2025.
