On December 15, 2022, the second phase of the Data Collection Agents Training for the Evaluation of the Deployment of Cervical Cancer Screening Programs in Côte d'Ivoire, the CASCADE Study, took place.

This phase of routine data collection on cervical cancer screening for the period 2010-2021, in CASCADE, began in April 2022 with sites in Abidjan under the supervision of the National Cancer Control Program (PNLCa). Nearly 13,000 screening visits have been digitized using the REDCap® application, in 13 sites in Abidjan.

This training aimed to equip newly recruited data collection agents in Bouaké and Daloa and to provide refresher training for those in Abidjan. It brought together resource persons from the National Cancer Control Program (03), the PAC-CI Program (03), and 9 data collection agents.

Ultimately, data from 47 screening sites will be digitized and will contribute to a better understanding of the impact of significant socio-health events and public health strategies on the performance of the secondary prevention program for cervical cancer, and to estimate the screening coverage rate for the period 2010-2024 in Abidjan, Bouaké, and Daloa, the three regions most affected by this program in Côte d'Ivoire.
