Process of migrating the PAC-CI program to PRISME-CI: The Director General of Health, Pr. Samba MAMADOU, grants an audience to a delegation from the PAC-CI Program led by its Executive Director, Dr Raoul MOH.

Summary & Key Points

"The Director General of Health received a delegation from the PAC-CI Program to discuss the migration to PRISME-CI, a global health research platform."

On Thursday, November 7, 2024, around 11:30 AM, the Director General of Health (DGS) met with Dr. Raoul MOH, Executive Director of PAC-CI and PRISME-CI, in his office. He was accompanied by his Human Resources Manager, Mrs. Adrienne ABOUA-KOUAKOU, and his Communication and Resource Mobilization Manager, Mr. Lian Serge LALOU.

On behalf of Minister Thérèse N’dri-Yoman, President of PRISME-CI, Dr. MOH presented an invitation to the DGS, who is also a member of the PRISME-CI Strategic Steering Committee, to attend a meeting of said Committee as the Representative of the Minister of Health, Public Hygiene, and Universal Health Coverage.

As a reminder, it was at the beginning of 2023 that the ANRS-Emerging Infectious Diseases, the University of Bordeaux, and the Institute of Research and Development joined forces with the Ministry of Health, Public Hygiene, and Universal Health Coverage, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Ministry of Finance and the Budget in Côte d'Ivoire, the PAC-CI Association, and the French Embassy in Côte d'Ivoire to sign an agreement aimed at establishing an International Platform for Global Health Research (PRISME). Thus, since January 24, 2023, the PAC-CI Program has been engaged in a migration process towards PRISME-Côte d'Ivoire.

This international and inter-institutional initiative, whose mission is to promote scientific exchanges and training, will contribute to defining strategies for preparedness and response adapted to the emergence and re-emergence of epidemics.

Prof. Samba MAMADOU assured his guests of his effective presence at this meeting scheduled for December 2, 2024, at the PAC-CI Program premises. This will be an opportunity for PRISME-CI and its technical and financial partners to review the year 2024 and discuss the prospects for 2025 and the financial challenges.
