On Friday, November 18, the mid-term activity restitution meeting for the PROXISANTE project took place. The main objective of the PROXISANTE project is to develop and implement strategies to improve the integration of HIV, malaria, and tuberculosis prevention and care into the community health system through Community Health Workers.

This restitution took place in the town hall of Toumodi in the presence of:

  • The representative of the Prefect of the Bélier region,

  • Representatives of the populations of the localities of Djékanou, Kokumbo, and Kpouèbo,

  • The national programs for the fight against malaria (PNLP), tuberculosis (PNLT), and HIV/AIDS (PNLS),

  • The Directorate of Community Health and Health Promotion (DSC-PS), and

  • Community Health Workers (ASC).

This meeting aimed to present the mid-term progress report of the PROXISANTE project.

Speakers took turns at the podium, with a total of four presentations enriching the ceremony:

  • That of the PAC-CI PROGRAM by Dr. ABO,

  • followed by the representative of the Community Health Workers (ASC), Mr. KOUAKOU GERVAIS,

  • then the Departmental Director of Health of Toumodi, Dr. ADAHOURMAN AMAN PAUL,

  • and finally Ms. AMANE LILIANE from the EPE NGO (Esperance Pour Les Enfants), Coordinator for PROXISANTE.

These presentations were followed by a question-and-answer session. It is also worth noting that the participants took the opportunity to congratulate the ASC for all the work accomplished. To conclude, recommendations were made for the continuity and smooth running of the PROXISANTE project.
